Bay Hammer Royal AM To Reach Legacy Cup

Richards Bay beat Royal AM 3-1 to advance to the final of the Prince Mangosuthu Legacy Cup at Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi Regional Stadium on Saturday.

Somila Ntsundwana netted twice while new signing Thabang Sibanyoni was also on the scoresheet to beat the sorry-looking Royal AM side that is still serving the FIFA transfer window ban.

The Natal struck early in the match, owing to Nsundwana’s efforts, putting his side at an advantage to book a spot in the final.

Soon after the first goal, Nsundwana found himself eye-to-eye with Hugo Nyame again, he calmly slotted it home to double Richards Bay’s lead.

Brandon Truter’s side returned in quick succession with Sibanyoni scoring the third before Royal AM could respond.

John Maduka’s Royal AM side returned with renewed energy in the second half, making three substitutions and finding an early goal through Sanele Radebe’s volleyed shot.

Despite all their efforts and good intentions, Royal AM could not level the match, sending Bay to the coveted final spot in the cup.
