Bay Lose The Final Of The Prince Legacy Cup

Njampela FC wins the 2024 Prince Mangosuthu Legacy Cup after beating Richards Bay FC after penalty shootouts at Prince Mangosuthu Legacy Cup at Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi Regional Stadium on Saturday.
The game went to penalties after it finished goalless in 90 minutes and went straight to penalties and it is where Tshepo Motsoeneng’s side prevailed 4-3.
This is despite Njampela joining the tournament late as a replacement for AmaZulu, the ABC Motsepe side held their nerves in the pressure cooker.
Having played one game each, the two teams returned with changed starting lineups, looking to maintain the much-needed energy to win the final game of the tournament.
After a half devoid of events, both teams went to halftime without a goal, further raising the stakes higher in the second half.
The two teams returned unchanged for the second half, similarly progressing the game to the first half.
Despite the substitutions that were introduced towards the end of the match, nothing could separate the teams, leaving the match to be decided on penalties and seeing Njampela win the fifth edition of the tournament.
