Ben Youssef Confirms Players’ Return After FIFA Break

Kaizer Chiefs assistant coach Khalil Ben Youssef has provided updates on the injured players and Asanele Velebayi, the signing from Cape Town Spurs.
Chiefs have been playing without several key players who were out injured and also without Velebayi, who’s yet to make his debut in the elite league.
The likes of Thabiso Monyane, Given Msimango, Rushwin Dortley, and Paseko Mako are still out injured and looking to make a comeback after the FIFA break.
“Also, for the injured players, you know, we have three or four players like Monyane, like Mako, like Given, and Dortley. We are waiting for them to come back, Ighodaro. So with this break, I think they will be with us, they will be ready. And also with Velebayi, with the papers of Velebayi, I think after the break he will be ready,” said Ben Youssef.
“I think after these two weeks, it will be very good for the team, mentally, physically, and for the injured players to come back. And also they will give us the time to prepare and to work properly for the next games.”
Meanwhile, the Soweto Giants will play their last league game before the international break against AmaZulu at FNB Stadium on Wednesday.
Ben Youssef has acknowledged the playing style of Usuthu, highlighting that they are one of the best-performing clubs in the league.
“I think AmaZulu is one of the best teams in the PSL,” Ben Youssef stated.
“They play good football. They play very good football with structure. There is an idea inside. We prepared the plan of the game with our analyst. We met and we prepared the plan of the game.”
