Chiefs & AmaZulu Locked In A Battle For Appollis.

Kaizer Chiefs and AmaZulu are locked in a battle to sign Polokwane City star Oswin Appollis.
Both clubs are rumored to have made inquiries about the 22-year-old winger, who is contracted to Polokwane until 2026.
Appollis joined Polokwane at the beginning of this season after playing for Pretoria Callies in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
His impressive performances haven’t gone unnoticed. Appollis was part of the Bafana Bafana squad that clinched the bronze medal at the Africa Cup of Nations in February in Ivory Coast, even scoring the penalty in the bronze medal match against DR Congo in Abidjan.

Following his continental success and a strong domestic season with 31 appearances, it was unsurprising that top PSL teams expressed interest in Appollis. He contributed significantly to Polokwane City’s success, scoring seven goals and providing five assists as they finished in the top eight of the topflight league for the first time on their return.
Appollis capped off the season with a goal in their final match against TS Galaxy at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium. He cleverly evaded challenges to slot the ball home at the far post.
His consistent performance this season earned him a call-up to the preliminary squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Nigeria and Zimbabwe. Coach Hugo Broos will announce the final squad on Thursday, with the matches scheduled on 7 June away in Nigeria and 11 June in Bloemfontein against Zimbabwe.
