Chiefs Confirm Another Departure
Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the departure of attacking winger Tebogo Potsane.
Potsane joined the Chiefs at the start of the 2023/24 season from Royal AM, but his contract has been terminated with immediate effect.
The former Bloemfontein Celtic attacker still had one year remaining on his deal, which would have been this coming season, but the Amakhosi appear to have other plans.
Potsane did not feature in any of the six pre-season friendly matches and leaves the club having played in 19 matches across all competitions, including eight games last season, without scoring a single goal.
“As Kaizer Chiefs continue to prepare for the upcoming season, the club and midfielder Tebogo Potsane have parted ways amicably,” read a statement from the club.
“We thank him for his contributions and wish him all the best in the future.”
Potsane joins a list of players who have left the club during this transfer window, including Ranga Chivaviro, Sabelo Radebe, Edmilson Dove, Mduduzi Mdantsane, Edson Castillo, Bongani Sam, and Yusuf Maart (who was sold to RS Ried in Austria).
