Chiefs Loan Out Goalkeeper To Leicesterford City

Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that goalkeeper Bontle Molefe has been sent out on loan to Motsepe Foundation Championship side Leicesterford City until the end of the season.
The club said the move forms part of its strategic plan to ensure young players gain valuable match experience.
Molefe, who was promoted to the first team in 2019, has yet to make a senior appearance for the club. His chances of featuring this season were slim, with Brandon Petersen firmly established as Chiefs’ first-choice goalkeeper.
Petersen has been central to Amakhosi’s success, keeping 11 clean sheets in 15 league matches and conceding just six goals. Chiefs also have Fiacre Ntwari and Bruce Bvuma in their goalkeeping ranks.
This strong defensive record has propelled Amakhosi to second place on the Betway Premiership table with 30 points from 15 matches.
“Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Bontle Molefe will be joining Leicesterford City FC on loan until the end of the 2025/26 season,” the club said in a statement.
“Leicesterford City, based in Mpumalanga, compete in the Motsepe Foundation Championship, which is the national first division of South African football under the PSL banner.
“This loan move forms part of the Club’s broader strategy to ensure that its promising emerging talent gains valuable game time and the experience required to thrive at the highest level of the sport.
“We are confident that this opportunity will help Kaizer Chiefs Youth Development Academy (KCYDA) product Bontle to further sharpen his skills and continue his growth as a professional footballer.
“We also believe he will use his talent and the experience he has gained over the years to contribute towards helping Leicesterford compete for promotion to the Betway Premiership.
“We wish him every success in this exciting new chapter of his career.”
Molefe joins a Leicesterford City side currently ninth on the Motsepe Foundation Championship table with 21 points from 16 matches.
