Richards Bay Part Ways With Three Players

Sportswire can reveal that Richards Bay have parted ways with three players – Benson Mangolo, Lindokuhle Mtshali and Mfundo Thikazi.
The trio were released after making limited impact during the first half of the season for the Natal Rich Boys, who currently sit ninth on the Betway Premiership table with 18 points from 15 matches.
Mangolo, who joined the club from Botswana side Centre Chiefs, departs having made just two appearances in all competitions.
Mtshali, whom Richards Bay had monitored since his time at Moroka Swallows, was signed during the off-season after leaving Sekhukhune United. The former Golden Arrows attacker leaves the club after featuring in seven matches across all competitions.
Thikazi, who rose to prominence at Royal AM, joined Richards Bay in the second half of last season after the club owned by Shauwn Mkhize was stripped of its PSL membership. The 26-year-old made 15 appearances in all competitions but failed to register a goal.
Meanwhile, Richards Bay have strengthened their squad with the signings of Thembela Sikhakhane, who was a free agent, Sanele Barns from Stellenbosch FC, and Joel Madondo from Nsingizini Hotspurs.
Richards Bay will return to action on Friday when they host Golden Arrows in a KwaZulu-Natal derby at Umhlathuze Sports Ground.
