Chiefs Set To Sign New Signings

Kaizer Chiefs Marketing and Commercial Director, Jessica Motaung, has expressed her excitement about the new season, highlighting the team’s preparations and upcoming signings.
Motaung emphasized the club’s commitment to strengthening its squad to reclaim its place locally and on the African continent.
“It was great to see the players coming back, and they’ve maintained the fitness, that’s what I loved, and they’re ready to come and face the challenges that they have,” Motaung said, praising the team’s current players.
“We are working hard for the new season alongside the technical team as well as all other departments in management to make sure that they sign different types of players for the next season.”
Motaung hinted that some of the new signings might be unveiled at the Toyota Cup, scheduled for 26 July against Asante Kotoko at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
“Hopefully, we’ll see some of these new signings at the Toyota Cup and also at training in the preseason,” she added.
Amakhosi has recently confirmed the departure of several players, including Edmilson Dove, Sabelo Radebe, Mduduzi Mdatsane, Ranga Chivaviro, and Njabulo Blom, who will return to his parental club St. Louis City in the United States.
Motaung urged fans to be patient and understanding as the club continues to negotiate with potential new signings.
“We’ll not say we’re done, there’s a lot of work that needs to be done to redeem our place locally and in Africa,” she said.
“The supporters must be patient and understand, we’ll make announcements.
“We’ve seen people talking about players we’ve not even signed yet, and some have clubs, but there are some negotiations.”
Motaung emphasized the importance of maintaining professionalism during the transfer window, which is still open.
“What we need to do is to be patient, and the transfer window is still on. I think maintaining professionalism is important for us to make great things.”
Before the Toyota Cup, Chiefs are set to embark on a preseason tour to the Netherlands in early July.
