Chiefs Trio Dominate Nedbank Cup Awards Nomination

Kaizer Chiefs’ trio of Inacio Miguel, Gaston Sirino, and Pule Mmodi have been nominated for the Nedbank Cup Player of the Tournament Award, an indication of their outstanding performances throughout the competition.

The three players played a pivotal role in helping Amakhosi end their 10-year trophy drought, clinching a 2-1 win over Orlando Pirates in the final at Moses Mabhida Stadium on 10 May.

Miguel, a defender, showcased his goal-scoring prowess, netting three goals, while Mmodi was one of the top goal scorers in the tournament with four goals, tied with Orlando Pirates’ Tshegofatso Mabasa.

Sirino also made a significant impact, scoring a crucial goal against Chippa United with a great assist from Reeve Frosler, as well as the penalty in the final.

The trio’s consistent brilliance throughout the tournament earned them individual accolades, including Man of the Match awards.

Their collective efforts were instrumental in Kaizer Chiefs’ Nedbank Cup triumph, marking a significant milestone for the team.
