Chislett Rallies Amakhosi For CAF Spot Push

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Ethan Chislett has warned his teammates against complacency ahead of Sunday’s Betway Premiership showdown with TS Galaxy at FNB Stadium.
Amakhosi enter the fixture riding a wave of momentum following three consecutive victories over Durban City, Magesi, and Orbit College.
This rich vein of form has propelled the Glamour Boys to third in the standings, sitting on 39 points from 21 matches—a position that firmly puts CAF Confederation Cup qualification in their own hands.
Sunday’s match is a high-stakes rematch of November’s draw, which served as the final fixture of 2025 for both sides. Despite the team’s current streak, Chislett is adamant that the squad must remain grounded.
“Obviously, we are in good spirits from the last game. Confidence is high, although we know that we can improve and do better,” he said.
“We can’t rest on previous results; we need to forget about them and focus completely on TS Galaxy, which is what we are doing.”
The 27-year-old further praised the passionate support of the Chiefs faithful, highlighting how unique the atmosphere is compared to his previous experiences abroad.
“It is nice to get this atmosphere from the fans because you don’t get this abroad; it is only done in the Premier League,” he added.
“Here it is done, and it’s really a nice thing. That comes with responsibility – you must be responsible every time, and when you’re wearing the colours of this team, you’re representing the club.
“So, that is a big thing for me – I try to dedicate myself to the craft and the club.”
