City Redeploy Dladla And Sibaya

Sportswire can reveal that Durban City has appointed Pitso Dladla and former Bafana Bafana midfielder Macbeth Sibaya as the club’s head and assistant coaches, respectively, for the DStv Diski Challenge next season.
Coaching Staff Changes
Both individuals were integral to City’s promotion success last season in the Motsepe Foundation Championship, serving under coach Simo Dladla, who recently departed to join AmaZulu as an assistant coach.
With the club’s promotion, the Diski Challenge is now part of the package for the Durban-based side. As such, Dladla and Sibaya have been redeployed, given that Gavin Hunt is taking over as the senior team’s head coach and will be bringing his own technical team.
Hunt has already brought in former Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Rowan Fernandez as his goalkeeper coach, while Ernst Middendorp is set to arrive as the club’s technical director.
Kaitano Tembo, who previously coached SuperSport United, Richards Bay, and Sekhukhune United, is reportedly linked with the assistant coach role to work alongside Hunt. The two previously collaborated at SuperSport, including when the now-defunct Tshwane giants won the Nedbank Cup by defeating Mamelodi Sundowns at Orlando Stadium in the 2011/12 season.
Sportswire reported in the past couple of days that Hunt was expected to arrive in Durban on Sunday to finalize terms with City, with his official unveiling scheduled for Tuesday. Upon the completion of his contract, Hunt will then submit a list of players he wants the club to sign once all contractual obligations are met.
Hunt’s unveiling might coincide with the KZN Premier’s Cup draw, which is set to take place in Richards Bay on Tuesday. City will participate in the pre-season tournament, scheduled for 26-27 July in northern KwaZulu-Natal.
