Gallants Announce The Signing Of Ndlondlo
Marumo Gallants have announced the signing of Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo, who was a free agent after leaving Orlando Pirates at the end of last season.
In an interesting turn of events, the Pirates had originally signed him from Gallants, along with Miguel Timm, ahead of the 2022/23 season.
During his time with the Pirates, Ndlondlo enjoyed significant success, winning five trophies: three MTN8 titles and two Nedbank Cups. He contributed three goals and three assists in 65 matches across all competitions.
“We are excited to officially announce the return of Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo, an attacking midfielder who previously played for Marumo Gallants FC in 2021-2022. Let’s give him a warm welcome,” said Gallants in their official statement.
Ndlondlo previously made history with Gallants when the club was known as Tshakuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) during the 2020/21 season.
He scored a spectacular goal as TTM won the Nedbank Cup against Chippa United at Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein, which remains the club’s only major trophy.
However, Gallants cannot utilize Ndlondlo’s services at the moment as he is currently away with the Bafana Bafana side for the African Nations Championship (CHAN) in East Africa.
Ndlondlo joins a Gallants team that has started the season well under new coach Alexander Lafitte. They have won their first two matches, including a recent victory over Orlando Pirates on Tuesday, which places them third in the Betway Premiership table.
