“Happy To Be Home”: AmaZulu Complete Double Signings
AmaZulu has further strengthened their squad with the additions of Côte d’Ivoire U23 international central defender Zouzou Landry and returning goalkeeper Siphelele Zulu as their transfer market activity gathers momentum.
Landry arrives at Usuthu from Tanzanian Premier League outfit Azam FC, bringing continental experience and defensive depth to the Arthur Zwane-led side. The central defender, who hails from northern Abidjan, expressed his enthusiasm about testing himself in the Premier Soccer League.
“I am very happy to be in South Africa and to play in the PSL,” Landry said.
Simultaneously, Gingindlovu-born shot-stopper Zulu re-joins Usuthu following spells with Hout Bay United and Pretoria Callies, where he previously spent a season on loan. The 24-year-old expressed his readiness to fight for a starting spot in the goalkeeping department.
“I am happy to be back home at AmaZulu,” Zulu said.
The dynamic duo joins an extensive list of new arrivals at the Durban-based outfit, including Gape Moralo, Neo Mokoena, Khomotjo Lekoloane, Keenan Phillips, Siphesihle Maduna, Omega Mdaka, Moses Shumah, and Faveur Wilfried Kouassi.
Currently sitting fourth in the Betway Premiership standings with seven points from four matches, AmaZulu host provincial rivals Richards Bay at Princess Magogo Stadium on Friday.
