Julies Eyes Playoff Glory

University of Pretoria enters a dramatic season finale with a playoff berth on the line. They face Baroka FC in a crucial clash at Tuks Stadium this Sunday (15:00).

Sitting second with 48 points, AmaTuks need just a win or draw to secure their playoff spot. However, Baroka FC and JDR Stars lurk just two points behind, making this a high-stakes encounter.

“Credit to the technical team, the management, and the supporters,” remarked Julies, “they all supported us from the first game of the season, until where we are now. Even amongst ourselves, we try to make sure that everyone is in a good space. We have the same goal, and we are on the same page, that’s what helps us remain focused.”

Despite a recent seven-game winless streak, the team’s spirit remains strong.”Even though we are disappointed on not winning it outright, we still have a chance, that is what keeps us going,” asserted Julies. “The thing that they instilled in us is to never give up until the end.”

TUKS boasts an impressive home record, winning eight out of 14 games. They’ll rely on their passionate home crowd to propel them against Baroka FC.

“We are just focusing on ourselves,” he declared, “We know it’s not going to be an easy game because both teams have something to fight for, but we will give it our best. We are playing at home in front of our crowd, we do not want to disappoint them, and we do not want to disappoint ourselves. This is the only chance we have and it’s in our hands.”
