Khenyeza Set To Take Over At Leopards

Former Golden Arrows co-coach Mabhudi Khenyeza has arrived in Limpopo to take over the reins at Black Leopards, Sportswire has been informed.

Khenyeza, who previously served as assistant coach to Thabo September at Chippa United, was released by the club at the end of last season. The duo was replaced by Sinethemba Badela before the start of the current campaign.

Black Leopards are currently without a head coach following the departure of Joel Masutha, who was dismissed after their 1-0 loss to Cape Town City at Thohoyandou Stadium on Sunday.

The defeat marked Leopards’ fifth loss in 10 matches, leaving Lidoda Duvha in joint 14th place alongside Midlands Wanderers FC on the Motsepe Foundation Championship log.

If all goes according to plan, Khenyeza — who has previously coached Maritzburg United, AmaZulu, and TS Galaxy — will be tasked with reviving Leopards’ season, as the club has managed just two wins so far.

The former Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs striker is expected to be on the bench when Leopards host provincial rivals Venda Football Club on 21 November.
