Maduka On Mpisane: He Is Doing Road Work

Despite his acknowledgment of the club’s managerial setbacks, Royal AM coach, John Maduka identified potential in his young talent, including Andile Mpisane.
Royal AM was handed a transfer ban by the Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) after contractual disputes with former Kaizer Chiefs striker, Samir Nurkovic.
The club has since struggled to assemble a competitive squad during pre-season, with the coach completely depending on DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) prospects.
Despite the difficulties, The Malawian maintained an optimistic view saying, “I understand the club’s situation and I can only do it with the boys that come from Diski and they do have potential.”
In their progress to the Premiers Cup semi-finals, AM defeated Milford in a penalty shoot-out handing AmaZulu a 3-0 walloping in the semi-final.
On both occasions, coach Maduka afforded club chairman and player, Mpisane a few minutes in the latter stages of both games with the 23-year-old converting one of the penalties in the quarter-final.
The former Celtic coach expressed great content with the chairman’s progress behind the scenes.
“He has been working and he never missed the pre-season program that we have been doing,” assured Maduka.
Maduka further detailed the midfielder’s efforts saying, “So he has been at training every day and sometimes we wake up at half past six and he’s up as well on the road and doing the road work and things.”
