Pirates Re-Sign Mabuza As Two Stars Head To Gallants On Loan
Orlando Pirates have announced the signing of Bheki Mabuza from Marumo Gallants, continuing a busy transfer window for the Soweto giants.
Mabuza joins a flurry of new arrivals at Pirates, including Ghampani Lungu, Sebastien Pedersen, Neo Rapoo, Mthetheleli Mthiyane, Sbangani Zulu, Thapelo Mokobodi, Bohlale Ngwato, Matome Mmolai, and Mohau Nkota.
“Orlando Pirates Football Club is pleased to announce that an agreement has been reached with Marumo Gallants for the permanent transfer of Bheki Mabuza,” the club said in a statement.
“The move marks a return to familiar surroundings for Mabuza, who was previously part of the Buccaneers setup. During his time away from the Club, Mabuza made encouraging progress and impressed. His performances at Gallants convinced the Club that he is ready to return and take the next step in his career.”
Simultaneously, Pirates confirmed that they have loaned two players to Gallants—a club with which they have frequently conducted transfer business.
“Meanwhile, the club can also confirm that Daniel Msendami and Abdoulaye Mariko will move in the opposite direction, joining Marumo Gallants on season-long loan agreements,” added the statement.
Gallants is notably the club that current Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou managed during the 2024/25 season prior to taking charge of the Sea Robbers at the start of last term.
