Khanyisa Mayo’s CR Belouizdad capitalized on Orlando Pirates and Al Ahly’s draw at Orlando Stadium to secure a crucial 1-0 victory over Stade d’Abidjan in their CAF Champions League Group C match at Stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny in Abidjan.

Aymen Mahious scored the decisive goal in the 71st minute, propelling the Algerian side to third place in the group with three points.

Pirates had previously defeated Belouizdad 2-1 in their opening match, while defending champions Al Ahly overcame d’Abidjan 4-2.

Currently, Al Ahly leads Group C with four points, followed by Pirates on four points. However, Pirates occupy second place due to their inferior goal difference.

Both teams will return to action in the coming weeks, with Pirates traveling to Ivory Coast to face d’Abidjan on 14 December. Al Ahly will host Belouizdad on 22 December in their third group stage match.
