Mdunyelwa: We Want To Win It All

Mamelodi Sundowns defender Zuko Mdunyelwa has insisted that their ambition as the Brazilians is to win the CAF Champions League, defend their Betway Premiership title and Nedbank Cup for them to have a great season this season.
The Tshwane giant could not win the MTN 8 and Carling Knockout under coach Manqoba Mngqithi at the beginning of this current season.
However, the reigning champions of the league still got another chance in the Champions League, Betway Premiership, and Nedbank Cup.
“We can’t focus more on what has happened, but we are more in control of what could happen next,” Mdunyelwa said.
“We are still in the run for the league, Champions League, and the Nedbank Cup. So, our ambition is to win everything that is left, so that we’ll have a good season.”
The Brazilians are second in Group B in the Champions League, while in the league they are on top of the log with 30 points. In the Nedbank Cup, Sundowns were drawn against Sibanye Golden Stars in the Last 32.
Meanwhile, the former Chippa United defender concluded that it was painful to lose in the final of the Carling Knockout.
“Definitely, it was not nice losing a final because we are players, we have ambitions and goals. If you are in the final why just go and win it?” Mdunyelwa added.
“So, going to the Nedbank Cup draw, I think we are going ahead to the team we are drawn with, we don’t know much about them at the moment.
“But our technical team will make sure that going to the game we’ll know a lot about them, like their strengths and weaknesses.”
The Brazilians will host FAR Rabat at Loftus Stadium on Saturday afternoon, where a draw will be enough to go through to the knockout stages.
