Kaizer Chiefs has confirmed that assistant coach Fernando Da Cruz has left the club, having accepted an offer to join the Moroccan Football Federation.

“I would like to thank Kaizer Chiefs, Chairman and all the supporters for the welcome and affection they gave from the first day I landed in South Africa,” says Da Cruz.

“Thank you to the players, staff and everyone involved for making sure that everything was fantastic for me. I wish this great Club everything of the best.”

Chiefs, who have thanked the Cruz, added: ” would like to express its gratitude to Da Cruz for his contributions to the team and his commitment during his time at the club. The club fully supports his decision and wishes him all the best in his future endeavors.

The club at the end revealed that “further announcements will be made in due course.”

Chiefs’ opening match of the 2024/25 Betway Premiership season will be against Marumo Gallants at Toyota Stadium on Saturday (17:30) next weekend, and they will hope to have new man by then.
