Official: Khoza Confirmed Betway As League Sponsor
PSL chairman Irvin Khoza has officially announced the league’s rebranding to the Betway Premiership, which was recently revealed by Sportswire, taking over from DStv.
He also confirmed that the new season will kick off on 3 August.
The three-year deal with Betway is valued at R900 million. “We now have the Betway Premiership,” Khoza stated, adding, “This has been a long-term plan. We’re delighted to welcome Betway on board.”
Betway representative Laurence Michel expressed enthusiasm about the partnership: “We are thrilled to announce our partnership with the PSL. It’s the largest single sports investment in South Africa. Football is a core part of our lives. This partnership will elevate the league, and we’re proud to join forces with the PSL, similar to our partnership with West Ham. We’re eager to deliver exciting initiatives and let the games begin.”
