Pirates Announce Three New Signings And Confirm Major Departures

Orlando Pirates have confirmed the signings of Neo Rapoo, Aphiwe Baliti and Matome Mmolai ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The trio joins the Buccaneers from two different clubs, with Rapoo and Baliti arriving from Siwelele, while Mmolai has been signed from Motsepe Foundation Championship side Leicesterford City.

Confirming the arrivals in a statement on Friday, Pirates said:

“Orlando Pirates Football Club is delighted to announce the acquisition of Neo Rapoo, Aphiwe Baliti and Matome Mmolai ahead of the 2026/27 season.

“The three players join the Buccaneers as the club continues to strengthen the squad and invest in some of the country’s most promising talent.”

Rapoo, Baliti and Mmolai become the latest additions to the squad, joining Mthetheleli Mthiyane from Stellenbosch FC, Sbangani Zulu from Richards Bay, and Bohale Ngwato and Ghampani Lungu, who both arrived from Siwelele.

Alongside the announcement of the three new signings, the Buccaneers also confirmed several departures. Gomolemo Khoto and Siyabonga Ndlozi have completed permanent moves to Sekhukhune United, while Tshepo Mashiloane will spend the 2026/27 season on loan at Babina Noko.

With seven new signings now confirmed, Pirates continue to bolster their squad ahead of the new campaign as they prepare to compete on multiple fronts.
