Pirates Sign Right-Back From Milford

Orlando Pirates have completed the signing of right-back Bulelani Sigomoshe from Milford FC to bolster their defensive options.

Sigomoshe arrives after appearing in the last four matches for the KwaZulu-Natal side this season, including a 62-minute shift during Milford’s emphatic victory over Richards Bay last weekend.

The Buccaneers moved swiftly to address growing concerns at right-back, where Kamogelo Sebelebele was left as the squad’s sole natural option following the departure of Deano van Rooyen to Mamelodi Sundowns.

Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou previously highlighted the positional shortage as a major area of concern heading into a demanding multi-front campaign.

In an official statement confirming the transfer, the Soweto giants welcomed the 26-year-old defender to Mayfair:

“Orlando Pirates Football Club is pleased to announce the signing of Bulelani Sigomoshe from Milford Football Club,” the club stated.

“The 26-year-old right-back joins the Buccaneers with immediate effect, adding further depth and competition to the Club’s defensive options.

“Sigomoshe’s acquisition forms part of the Club’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the playing squad as the Buccaneers continue to pursue their objectives across all competitions.

“The defender will link up with the technical team and his new teammates immediately as he begins the next chapter of his career in the famous black and white. Orlando Pirates welcomes Bulelani to the Buccaneers family and wishes him every success at the Club.”

Sigomoshe, who missed Milford’s opening league match against Pirates in August, departs the Stallions after establishing himself as a key fixture at the club since the 2023/24 season.
