Pirates To Host Sundowns In MTN8 Semi-Finals

Orlando Pirates will face Mamelodi Sundowns in the MTN8 semi-finals, with the Soweto Giants hosting the first leg of their two-legged tie.
The draw was conducted shortly after Sundowns’ commanding 4-0 victory over Richards Bay on Sunday.
This match-up is a repeat of the 2022/23 season’s semi-final, which Pirates won decisively on their way to lifting the trophy. Pirates, who have now won the MTN8 three times in a row, secured their spot in the semis by defeating Polokwane City 2-0 on Saturday.
In the other semi-final, Stellenbosch, fresh off a thrilling 3-2 win against AmaZulu, will host the first leg against Sekhukhune United.
Coach Eric Tinkler’s Sekhukhune team reached the semi-finals after beating TS Galaxy on Saturday.
The first-leg matches are scheduled for 16-17 August, with the return legs taking place on 23-24 August.
