Sekhukhune Release Three, Including Ex-Chiefs Defender

Sekhukhune United has confirmed the departure of former Kaizer Chiefs defender Njabulo Ngcobo and midfielder Relebogile Mokhuoane.
The club has also loaned Zambian striker Andy Boyeli to Tanzanian side Young Africans. Boyeli’s move is a surprise, as he was a key player for Sekhukhune, scoring six goals in 27 matches and earning a Player of the Month award after being signed from Zambian club Power Dynamos.
Ngcobo joined Sekhukhune last season, hoping to revive his career after his release from Chiefs, but the move didn’t go as planned. The defender from KwaZulu-Natal played in just six matches across all competitions for Babina Noko.
Mokhuoane also joined Sekhukhune at the start of last season after his release from Cape Town City. He was let go by coach Eric Tinkler at City and then reunited with him at Sekhukhune later in the season.
While these players are leaving, Sekhukhune United has been busy in the transfer market, signing Ronaldo Maarman, Tsepo Matsimbi, Sphiwe Mahlangu, Bradley Grobler, Manuel Sapunga, Toaster Nsabata, Malekgene Mampuru, Sydney Malivha, Olerato Mandi, and Miguel Timm.
Sekhukhune will begin their 2025/26 season with an MTN8 quarter-final match against TS Galaxy at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday (18:00).
