Shock Exit: Galaxy Part Ways With Adnan Just Days Before Nedbank Cup Final

TS Galaxy have confirmed that they have parted ways with head coach Adnan Beganovic following a run of poor results.
Beganovic took over in November 2024 after the departure of Sead Ramovic, who resigned after a match against Stellenbosch. Having served as assistant coach at the time, Beganovic was promoted to the top job.
He went on to guide Galaxy to a fifth-place finish — the club’s highest position in the PSL.
“Thank you, Adnan Beganovic. Your leadership, discipline, and commitment have left a lasting mark on the club. We wish you success in your next chapter,” the club said in a statement.
Beganovic oversaw 54 matches, recording 20 wins, 21 losses, and 13 draws.
He is not the only departure, with the club also parting ways with Nermin Basic, who worked closely alongside him as technical director.
“Thank you, Nermin Basic. Your guidance and contribution have played an important role in our journey. We wish you all the best in what lies ahead,” the statement added.
The changes come after a disappointing run of form, with Galaxy yet to win a league match since the season resumed following the Africa Cup of Nations.
They have lost their last three league matches, including a 6-0 to Orlando Pirates, and currently sit 12th on the table with 25 points after 25 games.
Despite their struggles in the league, Galaxy have reached the Nedbank Cup final, where they will face Durban City at Peter Mokaba Stadium on 2 May.
As things stand, assistant coach Bernard Parker is expected to take charge on an interim basis, including for the upcoming Ke Yona Cup final next weekend.
Before that, Galaxy will host 14th-placed Magesi at Mbombela Stadium on Sunday.
