Stellenbosch Forced To Host CAF Matches At Various Venues

Stellenbosch FC has confirmed that they will be hosting their CAF Confederation Cup matches at various venues across South Africa due to their home ground, Danie Craven Stadium, not meeting CAF standards.
The club will play their upcoming match against RS Berkane on 8 December at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban. Subsequently, they will host Lunda Sul at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria on 5 January, followed by a match against Stade Malien at Cape Town Stadium on 12 January.
Danie Craven Stadium was deemed unfit by the PSL in August after significant pitch damage was visible during their MTN8 quarter-final match against TS Galaxy. Former Galaxy coach Sead Ramovic was particularly critical of the pitch conditions.
Stellenbosch FC has acknowledged the inconvenience caused by the venue changes but remains committed to representing the club and the town of Stellenbosch on the continental stage. They encourage their fans to support the team at these alternative venues.
The club’s CAF Confederation Cup group stage campaign began with a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Stade Malien in their opening match.
