Sundowns Announce The Third Signing
Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed their third signing of the January transfer window: Lucas Suarez from Argentina.
The Argentine defender joins from CA Talleres, where he was under contract until 2026.
It is a club where Sundowns loaned out Matias Esquivel, who they signed during last year’s January transfer window from Talleres.
He follows Jayden Adams and Keanu Cupido as Sundowns’ new acquisitions this month.
The 29-year-old, who has four international caps for Argentina, made 66 appearances for CA Talleres, scoring three goals and providing one assist.
Suarez, whose previous clubs include Estudiantes RC, Arsenal, Defensa y Justicia, Sarmiento, and Quilmes, has yet to win a league title, having finished as runner-up twice.
