Sundowns Part Ways With Lebusa Ahead Of Stellenbosch Move

Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed that they have parted ways with defender Mosa Lebusa, who is set to join Stellenbosch FC.
Lebusa returns to Cape Town after initially joining Sundowns from Cape Town Spurs ahead of the 2018/19 season.
During his time at Chloorkop, the defender enjoyed a highly successful spell, winning the league title on seven occasions, as well as lifting the African Football League, the Nedbank Cup and the MTN8. He made 207 appearances across all competitions, scoring nine goals and providing four assists.
“Masandawana wish you the best as you begin the next chapter of your journey,” Sundowns said in a statement.
Sundowns have already moved to strengthen their squad, signing left-footed defender Khulumane Ndamane from TS Galaxy during the January transfer window as Lebusa’s replacement.
At Stellenbosch, Lebusa will be reunited with Kobamelo Kodisang, who has joined Gavin Hunt’s side on loan from Sundowns.
Stellenbosch, now under the guidance of Hunt following the departure of Steve Barker, are in need of reinforcements as they currently sit third from bottom on the Betway Premiership table and are battling to climb away from the relegation zone.
