Sundowns Sign Adams From Stellenbosch

Mamelodi Sundowns have announced the signing of Jayden Adams from Stellenbosch.
Sundowns confirmed on Saturday that Adams has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with the club.
“Bafana Bafana international, Jayden Adams has joined the Home of the 14-times Champions on a 3.5-year deal! Let’s welcome our new man in the comments,” said Sundowns in a statement.
Sundowns have been seeking midfield reinforcements following the long-term injury to Themba Zwane, who suffered an ACL injury while playing for Bafana Bafana in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in October.
While not a direct replacement for Zwane, Sundowns believe Adams can contribute significantly to both the defensive and attacking aspects of their game.
Adams joins his former teammate, Iqraam Rayners, at Sundowns. Rayners joined the Tshwane giants during the off-season after Sundowns triggered a clause in his contract.
Both players were instrumental in Stellenbosch’s success last season, culminating in their victory in the Carling Knockout.
The 23-year-old Adams, who represented Bafana Bafana at the delayed Africa Cup of Nations finals last year, where they claimed the bronze medal, boasts an impressive record of 139 appearances, scoring nine goals and providing 10 assists.
