“They Know Nothing About Us” – Milford Plots Massive TS Galaxy Upset

Milford coach Xanti Pupuma is looking to leverage the element of surprise against TS Galaxy when the two sides clash in the Nedbank Cup semi-final this weekend.
Pupuma believes his team holds a distinct advantage, as their opponents have very little information on them.
The Motsepe Foundation Championship side—currently battling for promotion to the top flight—will visit Galaxy at Solomon Mahlangu Stadium on Sunday (15:00), with a spot in the final on the line.
The other semi-final features Durban City hosting “giant-killers” Casric Stars at Chatsworth Stadium on Saturday (15:00).
“We know TS Galaxy; we have watched them a thousand times. It is not a team we are unfamiliar with,” said Pupuma.
“It is about what we bring on the day to compete at that level. Hopefully, God will smile upon us, but we have to show up.”
Pupuma emphasized that Milford’s anonymity is their greatest weapon. “I don’t think they know anything about us. This is our opportunity to surprise them and see how they react to our style of play.”
Much like Galaxy, Milford has already proven their mettle by knocking out top-flight opposition, including Sekhukhune United, on their journey to the semi-finals.
TS Galaxy, meanwhile, carries the pedigree of 2019 champions and secured their spot in the final four by defeating giants Mamelodi Sundowns in the Round of 16.
When asked about his game plan for Sunday, Pupuma kept his cards close to his chest. “We just have to play, have fun, and give our best,” he said simply. “The dream is to reach the final and hopefully lift the cup. That is the dream for everyone involved with this team.”
Despite the excitement of the cup run, Pupuma maintained that the club’s primary focus remains league success. “The main goal is to secure promotion. We have used the cup as an opportunity to give fringe players game time. Fortunately, our league form has carried over into the cup, which has helped us progress.”
He concluded: “We can’t run away from it now; we are at this stage, and these games are just as important as our league fixtures. We didn’t necessarily think we would come this far, but now that we are here, we want to take it to the next level.”
