TS Galaxy vs Durban City Date And Venue Confirmed

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has officially announced that the 2026 Nedbank Cup final between TS Galaxy and Durban City will take place at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.

Date and Venue History

The final is scheduled for Saturday, 2 May. This marks a significant return for the tournament to the Limpopo province; the last time the Peter Mokaba Stadium hosted the Nedbank Cup final was in the 2015/16 season, when Stuart Baxter’s SuperSport United triumphed over Orlando Pirates.

Interestingly, this will be the second major cup final held at the 2010 World Cup venue this season. The stadium previously hosted the Carling Knockout Cup final, where Pirates defeated Marumo Gallants in extra time, courtesy of a dramatic strike by Relebohile Mofokeng.

The Road to Polokwane

Durban City secured their spot in the final after overcoming the “giant-killers,” Casric Stars, in a tense semifinal at Chatsworth Stadium last weekend.

Meanwhile, TS Galaxy—the 2019 champions—booked their ticket by defeating Milford FC on penalties at the Solomon Mahlangu Stadium.

High Stakes: CAF Qualification

The stakes extend beyond domestic silverware. The winner on 2 May will automatically qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup next season, joining the team that finishes third in the Betway Premiership.

Kaizer Chiefs, who have won this competition for a record time, are the defending champions, having won the competition last year by defeating Orlando Pirates at Moses Mabhida Stadium.
