Ulundi United Dump Star-Studded AmaZulu Out Of Legacy Cup

AmaZulu’s Prince Mangosuthu Legacy Cup campaign ended in a shocking semi-final defeat on Saturday, as amateur side Ulundi United dumped them out with a 2-0 victory at the Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi Stadium.

Despite fielding a strong lineup that featured Omega Mdaka, Sandile Mthethwa, Liam Bern, Langelihle Mhlongo, Mncedi Vandala, and Moses Shumah, Usuthu failed to overcome their lower-league opponents.

Philasande Mbatha and Mandisa Khumalo scored the decisive goals for Ulundi United to seal the massive upset.

While Usuthu pack their bags in this pre-season tournament, Ulundi United advance to the final. They will face the winner of the second semi-final between Eswatini rivals Mbabane Highlanders and Nsingizini Hotspurs.

The grand final kicks off at 16:00 at the same venue, named in honor of the late Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi, who passed away in 2023.
