City Sign French Striker

Cape Town City has bolstered their attacking options with the signing of French striker Amadou Soukouna.
Soukouna, who previously played under Eric Tinkler at Maritzburg United, joins the Citizens to fill the void left by Khanyisa Mayo.
The 32-year-old joins the Citizens from Bangkok City in Thailand, reuniting with his former coach Tinkler. Tinkler and Soukouna previously worked together at Maritzburg United, where Soukouna made 51 appearances and scored nine goals.
Soukouna’s arrival is seen as a direct replacement for Mayo, who recently departed for CR Belouizdad in Algeria. The French striker’s experience and goal-scoring ability will be a valuable asset to Cape Town City as they aim for success in the upcoming season.
With all documentation expected to be finalized soon, Soukouna could make his debut for the Citizens in the MTN8 semifinal first leg against Orlando Pirates at DHL Stadium on Tuesday,27 August.
