Appolis Wants To Leave Polokwane

Bafana Bafana winger Oswin Appolis is seeking a transfer away from Betway Premiership club Polokwane City before the transfer window closes.

According to a source close to the Limpopo-based outfit, Appolis has already agreed to personal terms with Tunisian giants Esperance de Tunis. The 22-year-old is eager to explore new opportunities in his career.

Appolis joined Polokwane City from Pretoria Callies in July 2023 and has a contract until 2026. However, he wants to move on after playing a key role in the club’s recent success. Last season, Polokwane finished eighth in the table, and Appolis appeared in 31 matches, scoring seven goals and providing five assists.

His impressive form led to his inclusion in Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos’ squad that won the bronze medal at the Africa Cup of Nations in February. This has attracted interest from clubs like Wydad Athletic Club, Zamalek, CR Belouizdad, MC Alger, and Kaizer Chiefs.

Sportswire attempted to contact Polokwane City for comment but was unable to reach them before the publication of this article.
