AmaZulu Release 19 Players As Moremi Joins Pirates

AmaZulu has announced a significant squad overhaul, confirming the release of 19 players and the transfer of Tshepang Moremi to Orlando Pirates.

The Durban-based club released a statement detailing the departure of numerous players whose contracts will not be renewed for the upcoming 2025/26 Betway Premiership League campaign.

“AmaZulu Football Club can confirm the departure of several players whose contracts will not be renewed and, as such, will not form part of the squad for the upcoming 2025/26 Betway Premiership League campaign,” the club stated.

AmaZulu Director of Football, Pedro Dias, despite some public criticism regarding his contributions, expressed gratitude to the departing players. “I would like to thank all these individuals for their contributions to our club and community,” said Dias. “We are grateful for the great moments we shared together. Loaned Players Return To Mamelodi Sundowns

The club also acknowledged the conclusion of loan spells for Etiosa Ighodaro and Sifiso Ngobeni, who will return to their parent club, Mamelodi Sundowns FC. “We extend our thanks to Etiosa and Sifiso for their efforts during their time with us and wish them success in their careers going forward,” added Dias.

Tshepang Moremi Joins Orlando Pirates

In a notable transfer, AmaZulu confirmed that they have accepted an offer from Orlando Pirates for the rights to midfielder Tshepang Moremi. Moremi himself hinted at the move on Friday via social media. “We wish Tshepang all the best as he embarks on a new chapter in his career,” stated Dias.
