City Sign Former Ahly Striker

Motsepe Foundation Championship side Cape Town City has signed former Al Ahly striker Walter Bwalya.
Bwalya was previously on the books of Algerian club JS Kabylie, where he scored two goals in 15 matches last season.
The 30-year-old, born in Zambia but raised in the Democratic Republic of Congo, won the CAF Champions League with Al Ahly during the 2020-21 season under coach Pitso Mosimane.
He also secured the CAF Super Cup with the Egyptian club that same season. Bwalya has also played professionally in Turkey and the United Arab Emirates.
He joins a Cape Town City side that was relegated from the Premier Soccer League (PSL) at the end of last season via the promotion/relegation playoffs.
The Mother City club hopes to return to the top flight next season but has had a stuttering start in the Motsepe Foundation Championship, currently sitting in 13th place with two points from two draws.
Their next match is against Casric Stars at Athlone Stadium on 13 September.
