Allende Highlights The Importance Of Sundowns Vs Pirates Clash

Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Marcelo Allende has stressed the importance of their upcoming Betway Premiership showdown against title rivals Orlando Pirates on Wednesday.
The highly anticipated clash between the two sides is scheduled to take place at FNB Stadium.
Sundowns trail Pirates by six points in the Betway Premiership table, sitting second with 32 points from 15 matches, while Pirates lead the way with 38 points from 16 games.
“Big one also, very important for the league. We are Sundowns, and we want to win everything. We want to win all the cups, the league,” said Allende, who scored in this fixture two seasons ago.
“Now it’s time to enjoy this victory [against MC Alger in the CAF Champions League group stages on Saturday] and start preparing for the next game on Wednesday.”
Meanwhile, Amasandawana have qualified for the knockout phase of theChampions League following the 2-0 victory against MC Alger at Loftus Stadium on Saturday.
Allende acknowledged that they played like the big team, and as Sundowns, they always played to win.
“Yes, of course, Sundowns play for a win in all the games,” Allende stated.
“Pitch everywhere and every country. We played on Saturday like a big team, and we are in the next stage where the club deserves to stay.”
