AmaZulu Show Interest In Sundowns Midfielder

AmaZulu is rumoured to be interested in Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Sammy Seabi, who is currently out of favour.
Usuthu is seeking a central midfielder to replace George Maluleka, who departed at the end of the 2023/24 season. Seabi has emerged as a potential target, with Chippa United and Sekhukhune United also expressing interest.
The lanky midfielder was part of Sekhukhune’s squad that reached the Nedbank Cup final in the 2022/23 season, losing to Orlando Pirates. Seabi has struggled for playing time at Sundowns since joining from Polokwane City in 2019, due to competition from Teboho Mokoena, Bathusi Aubaas, and Rivaldo Coetzee.
If AmaZulu successfully acquires Seabi, he would be the fourth player with Sundowns connections to join the club, following the signings of Sifiso Ngobeni, Luvuyo Phewa, and Etiosa Ighodaro on loan. However, as AmaZulu has already reached its allocation of loan players for the season, they would need to pay a fee to sign Seabi from Sundowns, somethinf they are looking at doing.
In preparation for the 2024/25 Betway season, AmaZulu has also signed Senzo Ndlovu, Andile Sithole, Kwanda Mngonyama, and Boniface Haba.
