Chiefs To Face Billiat And Musona’s Scottland FC In Toyota Cup Blockbuster

Kaizer Chiefs will face Zimbabwean champions Scottland FC in the third edition of the Toyota Cup pre-season tournament at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in the North West on 26 July.
The blockbuster friendly marks a major test for Amakhosi. Scottland FC took the Zimbabwean Premier Soccer League by storm last season, winning the domestic title in their maiden top-flight campaign immediately after securing promotion to qualify for the CAF Champions League.
The visiting Harare-based outfit boasts several high-profile names well-known to South African football fans. Their star-studded roster includes former Kaizer Chiefs legends Khama Billiat and Knowledge Musona, alongside former Polokwane City winger Walter Musona and ex-Orlando Pirates forward Terrence Dzvukumanja.
Norman Mapeza is the club’s head coach
Chiefs will chase their first-ever victory in the pre-season spectacle. In the inaugural 2024 edition, Amakhosi suffered a heavy 4-0 defeat against Tanzanian giants Young Africans SC in Bloemfontein, followed by a tight 3-2 penalty shootout loss to Ghana’s Asante Kotoko in Durban last year.
As has become tradition, the main event will follow a highly anticipated curtain-raiser featuring the Kaizer Chiefs Legends side against Jozi Masters.
Amakhosi intend to use the showcase to debut their new club kit and give supporters a first glimpse of their new signings as the technical team finalizes squad preparations ahead of the 2026/27 campaign. Kaizer Chiefs Marketing and Commercial Director Jessica Motaung confirmed that the legends team will also don a unique kit produced by the club’s official technical sponsor, Kappa.
