Chiefs Vs Sundowns Game Sold Out

Kaizer Chiefs has confirmed that their 85000 tickets for the match against Mamelodi Sundowns at FNB Stadium on Saturday, as part of the Betway Premiership, have been sold out.
Chiefs and Sundowns, both unbeaten in their first two league matches, will face off in their 109th encounter, a clash between two of South African football’s powerhouses.
This will be the third time this season that Chiefs have played in front of a sold-out crowd. They previously defeated Marumo Gallants 2-1 in the opening game of the 2024/25 season in Bloemfontein and AmaZulu 3-1 at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
While Chiefs are the most popular club in the PSL, they have struggled for trophy success in recent years. Their last major title came in the 2014/15 season when they won both the MTN8 and the league title.
In contrast, Sundowns has dominated the local scene, securing seven consecutive league titles. However, under new coach Nasreddine Nabi, Chiefs seem to be heading in the right direction, having started the season with two wins and now playing in front of a packed crowd.
Chiefs will be aiming to defeat Sundowns at FNB Stadium for the first time since April 2021. Their last victory at the 2010 World Cup final venue came in 2017, a 2-1 win with goals from Bernard Parker and an own goal by Soumahoro Bangaly.
