Cape Town City have officially confirmed the signing of free agent Haashim Domingo on a three-year deal ahead of next season.

Domingo joins City after leaving Raja Casablanca in Morocco, where he played for the past season following his move from Mamelodi Sundowns.

The 28-year-old midfielder spent three successful seasons with Sundowns, winning three league titles, the MTN8, and the Nedbank Cup.

He joined Sundowns in 2020 after Bidvest Wits, his previous club, sold their PSL status to Tshakuma Tsha Mandzivhandila, ending Wits’ 99-year run in the top flight.

Domingo also has experience playing for Portuguese side Vitória de Guimarães, which he joined in 2014.

In addition to Domingo, City are set to acquire Kamohelo Mokotjo from Sekhukhune United in a swap deal involving Relebogile Mokhuoane.
