FIFA Council Sets Stage For Future Tournaments
The FIFA Council, meeting virtually ahead of the Extraordinary FIFA Congress, made several key decisions regarding FIFA competitions.
The 2030 World Cup will be held in Morocco, Portugal, and Spain, with centenary celebration matches in Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay. Four years later, Saudi Arabia will host the FIFA World Cup 2034.
FIFA added the council acknowledged the successful bidding process for the 2030 and 2034 FIFA World Cups. All candidate bids exceeded the minimum hosting requirements and are now eligible for consideration by the Extraordinary FIFA Congress.
FIFA Women’s World Cup Brazil 2027
The FIFA Women’s World Cup Brazil 2027 will be held from 24 June to 25 July 2027. FIFA President Gianni Infantino expressed excitement about the tournament’s potential to elevate women’s football globally.
