Galaxy Coach Explains On How They Beat Sundowns

TS Galaxy coach Adnan Beganovic has opened up on how they beat the log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns in the Betway Premiership match on Tuesday evening.

Kamogelo Sebelebele scored the only goal of the match for the Rockets in their 1-0 victory over the Brazilians, with Beganovic adding that they deserve to win the match.

Following Galaxy’s victory, Beganovic’s side moved to the fourth place in the log table. “The most important thing is how we prepared our players in the last days of February,” Beganovic said.

“We prepared these players tactically and how we play, then we scored and we celebrate three points together. I think this is an amazing feeling but in the end, I would like to say all credit must go to the players because without players I’m nothing and I can’t do anything without them.

“I’m so proud of what they did in the last five games of how we’ve changed everything. We are in fourth place now in the log table, and then what I can say more is that TS Galaxy deserves to win this game against Mamelodi Sundowns and I think we deserve to celebrate tonight.”

The win by the Rockets sees them unbeaten in 13 games in all competitions. The Mpumalanga-based side has won seven and drawn six games in their last 13 games since Beganovic took over to replace Sead Ramovic.

“Since we are 13 games unbeaten, what I can say is that my vision is based on how we prepare the games and then it’s everything on us how we work, how we do everything and then I can be happy because this group of players recognize our changes and accept everything we bring in the team,” Beganovic added.

“I’m so happy, and I also want to say I’m humble about how we played tonight. I think I can celebrate tonight (Tuesday) and then tomorrow (Wednesday) we need to prepare ourselves for the Nedbank Cup, and again we want to push more.”

The Rockets are set to face Durban City in the Nedbank Cup round of 16 in their next game at Chatsworth Stadium on Friday.
