Gallants Mull Bringing Back Dladla
According to Sportswire, Marumo Gallants are considering of bringing back Pitso Dladla to their coaching staff for the upcoming season.
Dladla currently serves as assistant coach at Maritzburg United, having joined them sometime last season to work alongside Simo Dladla.
Pitso Dladla previously held the head coach position at Gallants from August until his dismissal in December last year. This dismissal followed the club’s relegation at the conclusion of the 2022/23 season.
He was tasked with securing an immediate return to the DStv Premiership top flight, but his failure to achieve this objective led to his termination.
Gallants have since secured their return to the top league through the acquisition of Moroka Swallows. As previously revealed by Sportswire, Dylan Kerr was appointed head coach on Tuesday to lead the team.
This appointment leaves coach Stan Nkoane, who managed Gallants in the Motsepe Foundation Championship last season, in an uncertain position.
Nkoane, appointed in April, is reportedly a target for Baroka FC. They aim to appoint him as their new coach, potentially transitioning Morgan Mammila back to the CEO position he previously held.
Additionally, several former Swallows players, including Daniel Akpei, Augustine Mahlonoko, Falakhe Tshanini, Vusi Sibiya, and Kopano Thuntshane, reported for training with Gallants on Tuesday. All of them have an experience to have worked with Kerr at Swallows.
