Hollywoodbets Super League Roars Back To Life

The Hollywoodbets Super League is back in full swing after a brief hiatus due to Banyana Banyana’s participation in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations 2024 in Morocco.
The league returned with a bang over the weekend, featuring eight matches that saw five draws and a mix of thrilling victories.
In a highly anticipated match, UWC Ladies held Mamelodi Sundowns to a 1-1 draw, but the result did little to change the standings, with Banyana Ba Style still leading the log with 32 points. UWC Ladies, on the other hand, continue to struggle, sitting in 11th position with 17 points.
The weekend was tough for KwaZulu-Natal-based teams, with Durban Ladies losing 1-0 to UCT Ladies and Royal AM suffering a 1-0 defeat at the hands of First Touch Ladies. Durban Ladies remain at the bottom of the log with just four points, while Royal AM are 15th with 10 points.
In other matches, TS Galaxy Queens secured a 1-0 win over Richmond Ladies, while Copperbelts Ladies and TUT Matsatsantsa Ladies played out a 1-1 draw.
UJ Ladies and City Lads Ladies also shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw, and University of Fort Hare Ladies drew 1-1 with JVW Girls.
Ezemvelo WFC, the only team doing well in KwaZulu-Natal, played out a 1-1 draw against University of Pretoria Ladies, maintaining their eighth position in the log with 20 points.
The South African women’s top-tier league will continue this Wednesday, 6 August, with five exciting matches.
Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies will face University of Pretoria Ladies in a Tshwane Derby, while Ezemvelo takes on Durban Ladies in a Durban Derby.
UCT Ladies will host Copperbelts Ladies, and Royal AM will travel to face Richmond Ladies.
The final match of the day will see City Lads Ladies take on UWC Ladies in the Eastern Cape.
