Mgaga Finds A New Club

Former Stellenbosch attacking midfielder Nhlanhla Mgaga has joined TS Galaxy, Sportswire has been informed.

Mgaga, who was a free agent after leaving Stellenbosch FC at the end of last season, has been signed by Galaxy. Despite featuring in 38 matches across all competitions for Stellenbosch, he was not retained by the club under coach Steve Barker.

Rumors suggested that Orlando Pirates and AmaZulu were interested in securing Mgaga’s services. However, these moves did not materialize, and the player ultimately joined Galaxy. He could potentially make his debut for the club when they face Richards Bay at King Zwelithini Stadium on Sunday.

Galaxy has been active in the transfer market, Mgaga’s signing is the 11th player this season, including Victor Letsoalo, Thamsanqa Masiya, Siphesihle Maduna, Ntiyiso Mbombi, Khulumane Ndamane, Qobolwakhe Sibande, Morris Koneh, Emmanuel Seih, Ira Tape, and Owethu Khumalo.

However, due to a FIFA ban, the club was unable to register all these players in time for the MTN8 quarter-final against Stellenbosch in August.

While FIFA has since lifted the transfer ban, it remains uncertain whether Galaxy has officially registered all the newly signed players with the league.
