Ncikazi Confident Of Positive Result In Mbombela Clash
Orlando Pirates assistant coach Mandla Ncikazi has expressed confidence that his team will secure a positive result ahead of their clash against TS Galaxy at Mbombela Stadium on Sunday.
Pirates currently sit second with 48 points from 21 matches, just two points behind defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns. Their 1-1 draw against Siwelele last weekend allowed Sundowns to reclaim the top spot.
The Buccaneers head into this clash looking for three points and another victory, having beaten Galaxy 2-0 in the reverse fixture.
Ncikazi anticipates a difficult encounter but feels confident that his side will make their supporters proud, while also calling on fans to rally behind the team.
“Nelspruit has always been a difficult environment for our team, but we have a responsibility to try and get three points anywhere in the country,” said Ncikazi.
“My personal play on behalf of the group is for the Buccaneers to unite against the team. Support and team. Maybe let us not allow the elements of division, the elements of destruction to filter into our setup, in our institution. We appreciate the supporters, and these players and the technical team are going to try to please our supporters as always.
“We are going to go there, fight, and give our best. Based on the preparation, I’m confident that this team will make the supporters proud.”
A victory for Pirates would see them reclaim top spot on the table, moving one point clear of Sundowns, who are in action in the CAF Champions League on Sunday.
