Pirates Confirm Five-Match Spanish Tour Featuring Al Ittihad Clash

Orlando Pirates have confirmed a demanding five-match pre-season tour of Spain, headlined by a heavyweight clash against Saudi Pro League giants Al Ittihad.
The Buccaneers will travel to the Iberian Peninsula for the third consecutive year as they look to build on a historic 2025/26 season.
The Spanish camps have proven to be the ultimate launchpad for Pirates, laying the physical and tactical foundations for last season’s treble-winning campaign—which included securing their first league title in 14 years under head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou.
To prepare for their title defense, Pirates have locked in the following European schedule:
vs. Cordoba CF
15 July (19:00)
Marbella Football Centre
vs. Cadiz CF
18 July (Time TBC)
Venue to be confirmed.
vs. Al Ittihad
21 July
Banus Football Centre. The marquee fixture of the tour against Sergio Conceicao’s star-studded Saudi outfit.
vs. UD Las Palmas
22 July (19:00)
Marbella Football Centre
vs. Neom FC
24 July
Estepona Football Centre
The standout fixture on 21 July pits Pirates against a formidable Al Ittihad squad featuring European pedigree in Danilo Pereira, Steven Bergwijn, Moussa Diaby, and Youssef En-Nesyri. However, Brazilian anchorman Fabinho is expected to be absent following his participation in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which concludes just two days prior to the friendly.
