Pirates To Welcome Pyramids At FNB Stadium

Orlando Pirates have confirmed that their CAF Champions League first-leg semi-final match will be held at FNB Stadium.
The Buccaneers are scheduled to host Egyptian side Pyramids at FNB Stadium this Saturday at 18:00.
While Orlando Stadium is typically their primary home venue, the Soweto-based ground is unavailable this weekend due to the Grace Bible event taking place there.
The booking for the Grace Bible Church at Orlando Stadium was made prior to Pirates’ successful progression to this stage of the Champions League. In fact, the tournament is usually hosted at Orlando Stadium annually.
Pirates secured their place in the Champions League semi-final after defeating MC Alger of Algeria 1-0 on aggregate over the two-legged quarter-final tie this past weekend.
Mamelodi Sundowns, the other South African representative in the semi-finals, will host another Egyptian side, Al Ahly, at Loftus Stadium early on Saturday.
This is a historic achievement, marking the first time that two South African teams have reached the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League in the same year.
